Have you yet harnessed the power of healing that you hold within your very hands?
Whether you live in heaven or hell depends largely on your responses to life

An unhealthy thought makes the mind tight, narrow and obsessed. A healthy thought on the other hand, makes the mind loose, open and receptive.
Our minds are constantly taking in and releasing information.
During the course of everyday living, our minds are also vulnerable to contamination. This can occur without us even noticing.
We are often so busy with work or errands during the course of a day- one thing to the other- that we are not actively observing what is happening with our mental state. We will be exposed to words or actions that cause contamination of the mind and at the end of the day the feeling is poisonous because that contamination is still within us, infecting our thoughts, words and actions. Infecting ourselves and others, like a virus.
Meditation is like medicine. In fact, it is medicine for the mind. This is the process which enables us to effectively CLEAN OUT our mind, remove contamination and continue on with a fresh, free mind.
I can honestly say i am becoming addicted to meditation. Once i saw what it could do for my emotional and mental states for a start, i was hooked.
And this is just the tip of the ice berg for me.
Imagine the kind of good health one can have from releasing the bad and encouraging the positive, letting go, revitalising themselves daily, focusing on the present moment rather than the past and future, creating a clear mind for themselves, and ensuring their mind is not contaminated!
I'm sure these benefits would affect our immune system and physical health quite positively as well.
I began my healing journey at first by simply reflecting.
Reflecting is different to meditation as it is not about letting go- it is more about bringing a problem or issue into full focus and acknowledgement and exploring it honestly.
It is a cure for indifference and ignorance.
I reflected for the first year of my time as a practicing buddhist- reading was a large part of this journey as i needed to learn and identify with buddhist principles until they came naturally to me. This happened over the period in which i reflected on everything that happened in my life and how it made me feel.
Writing was my main form of reflection and helped me look at problems or obstacles objectively.
Recently i have been making the transition from writing about my problems, to meditating, healing and refocusing positively.
What a great journey this is!
I still write, but mainly positively. This has a lot to do with my studies of The Secret- in combination with buddhism this turns out to make an amazing change in one's life.
The Secret teaches the importance of what we think, and the fact that thoughts become things. Whatever is in your mind, is (with incessant thinking) going to become your reality.
So once again, it comes down to contamination and the virus. If your negative thoughts are infecting and multiplying, physical symptoms in your real life experience are going to become evident.
Meditation ties in with positive thinking by clearing the mind of contamination so you are ready to paint positive pictures within your mind.
By courageously and constantly following this path, you are healing yourself like a doctor would heal an injury, wound or sickness. You are constantly healing and removing contamination of the mind and simultaneously building immunity to re-contamination. How good is that?!
Though meditation is not easy, it is full of benefits. CHOC-A-BLOCK.
Once you know how to heal yourself, you are able to heal bonds with others, or provide healing to others through a new perspective and positivity.
Others may come to you and you may see their mind is contaminated. Through your own experience you realise they are not always in control of their mind and its contamination. Therefore you are able to reach out differently- spiritually, because your mind is free and immune, your spirituality can flow freely and aid others.
You will see instant changes when you apply healing. You will also see long term changes.
But you cannot heal others until you are competent at healing yourself.
So look at yourself first! Heal your own wounds, and what you have to offer to others will follow naturally after that.
If you want to begin this amazing journey, i will share with you the meditation i am currently using.
I am a beginner, but find this meditation (simple as it is) to be extremely beneficial.
Sit in an upright, cross legged position. Ensure there is as little noise around you as possible.
Close your eyes.
Begin by letting go of images of what is around you. Then, become aware of your breath.
It helps me to picture my breath as a cycle. I picture breath going into my body from the abdomen, and then coming back out through my nose. I then picture the breath leaving the nose and going straight back through into the abdomen. Often it also helps to count the breaths.
The idea is that the breath is all that matters. Many, MANY thoughts, extremely random or extremely relevant will pop into your mind. You must pause, acknowledge them, do not ignore them, but do not dwell on them. Once you have acknowledged them you must release them and return your attention to the breath.
It is this crucial exercise that will enable you to heal, being able to acknowledge thoughts and then release them. This is an extremely empowering exercise. Once your mind becomes this supple, there is no stopping you, and your life in the daily world will become much easier, more serene with less extreme highs and lows.
Here's to your journey of healing.
With love and good wishes
Bliss

Action!
This life is all about action.
If you're not taking action, you're not living!
See something you don't like? Take action to change it.
Can't change it right now?
Take action to transform it into a learning curve, a precious opportunity for spiritual growth.
Want something? Have it.
Like something? Show it.
Want to share time with someone? Extend your hand.
Want to achieve something? TAKE THE STEPS!
Action can be big or little, steps can be big or little.
Even when you are relaxing, action is taking place. Because you are feeding your soul when you look after yourself.
So now that you know what you must do, take those hands, that heart and that mind. Use your intelligence and MAKE IT REAL!

How To Live Life By Balancing Your Wise and Foolish Selves
Life can be handled quite beautifully or quite unskillfully.
It simply depends on how balanced we are within.
Each of us is home to a wise self, and a foolish self. It is essential that these selves are as balanced as they can be. The foolish self is often looked upon negatively when in fact it can also be quite useful and positive. Similarly, the wise self has both negative and positive aspects to it which is why a balance is needed in order to live a calm and serene life- regardless of how tragic or hectic life and its events become!
The foolish self is creative, impulsive, spontaneous, innovative- it takes risks and enforces that fear need not stand in the way of our dreams. The wise self takes the energy of our foolish self and places it within a more logical, workable model so we can make our dreams a reality.
For example, if the foolish self is more predominant than the wise, we will find ourselves constantly taking risks without thinking, we will end up in bad situations which could have been avoided, we will begin to become destructive, we will live in a superficial fashion and ultimately as an expression of fear.
If the wise self is more predominant than the foolish, we will become excessively guarded and cautious, tense, overly serious, drained, unable to see the light side of life and situations, unable to fully express emotion including love and passion, we will have very little enthusiasm and energy to create and we will become pretty mediocre....once again, also an expression of fear.
An example of using the wise and foolish selves in balance:
Work's getting hard, the pressure is on. Your foolish self is telling you "Stuff this! Quit the job, never mind the consequences, you need to be happy so chuck it in."
The wise self is meanwhile telling you "Wait! You need this job. The money is all you have to survive on and without it you will struggle. Stomach it down, keep working even if it is draining you, you must think of the consequences.
When these two selves deal with this problem in a balanced way, harmonising with eachother, it might occur differently.
The balance between the foolish and wise self would immediately acknowledge the soul's needs. The soul is saying it cannot handle the pace or nature of work, it is being drained and possibly even undermined.
However the balance would also acknowledge the need to think of a useful solution that does not have dire consequences. The energy and passion of the foolish self is then harnessed by the wise self- the wise self assesses the situation in a spiritual way looking deep into the problem in order to expose the whole truth. The foolish self then applies creativity to the situation- it suggests focusing on the lighter side of life, if there is any positive aspect of the situation to focus on that wholeheartedly.
It also suggests putting in place limits for your health and wellbeing- if there is anything you're doing that you shouldn't or don't have to, do not feel guilted or pressured into doing it.
The wise self will construct a plan such as searching for a better situation while still maintaining your credibility and purpose within the current situation, and enforcing the understanding of patience and tolerance levels.
To summarize, the balance between wise and foolish is simply the ability to enjoy the beauty of life, and to USE YOUR INTELLIGENCE.
Now that's a whole other post ;)

That toddler in those videos are you :)
That is who you were, and that is who you are, just older.
That is you laughing and squealing.
That is you saying words like they are something to be cherished.
That is you dancing like nobody is watching.
That is you making eyes at that video camera like you know you're a star.
It's all you. For real.

Glass Full
Some glasses will never be full.
You don't have to fill anyone's glass but your own!
If someone is always demanding a refill, don't pay any mind.
But if someone is truly sharing a glass with you, by all means fill and refill together :)

Magic
There is one important thing to remember in times of struggle- of which there will be many within this lifetime.
ONLY YOU FOUND YOURSELF HERE. ONLY YOU CAN BRING YOURSELF OUT.
Likewise, only you know the truth of a situation, only you will in time find the answers.
Belief in yourself is absolutely essential. There will sometimes be those who offer you belief, but the best kind of belief is the kind you have in yourself.
The zen way is to heal rather than destroy. Reach out rather than reject. Practise this as often as you can.
When you are zen it does not mean you will not stumble. In fact it is highly likely you will fall flat on your face! Life is a constant learning process, there will never be a time when you know everything there is to know, or how to deal with everything there is that could come your way.
When you have the ultimate faith in yourself, even if a little weak at times, you will survive even the lowest points.
Connect with those people who know and support you, who have faith in you even when you struggle to have faith in yourself.
Know yourself even when people think they know you- only you breathe through those lungs and feel through that heart, only you see what you have seen or know what you have known.
Those who don't believe in you will fall away and that is okay, because even when the last person has fallen away there is still you, believing strongly and burning brightly.
Today i healed a relationship that is very important to me, i knew it would happen when the time was right, and we are now resuming with clear hearts and minds.
These hearts and minds were confused, hurt and lost for some days, and all it took was constant loving action, and one moment in which both hearts poured spirituality upon one another.
I urge every soul out there to reach out to someone, it can be many people, and pour spirituality and love upon them but most importantly pour these things upon yourself, because you brought yourself to where you are today and you are 100% WORTH IT :)
I have seen the magic that is spirituality, there is no other word for it. It is an antidote to your demons, it is clarity through the mind's fog, it is the compass for your travelling heart, it is food for your soul.
Everyone has this magic, it may take a while to find it, it may take even longer to harness it, but once you are aware of it all kinds of beautiful developments can take place. How can you use this magic to improve your life?
FORGIVE YOURSELF
when you stumble
FORGIVE OTHERS
because we are all imperfect and you have already forgiven yourself.
RESPECT YOURSELF
so that you can...
RESPECT OTHERS
HEAL FRIENDSHIPS
so that you can...
NURTURE FRIENDSHIPS
ACCEPT LOVE
so that you can...
GIVE LOVE
PRACTISE CONSISTENTLY, DO NOT GIVE UP
this learning will take place for your whole entire life, possibly even beyond it.
LAUGH A LOT, SMILE A LOT
There is no room for negativity!
LET GO
when it is time and it has shown you so.
